Headlight Robot
This Headlight Robot measures 90cm high x 36cm deep x 40cm deep. (Table height 45cm) Headlight is from the deck of a ship (originally movable with a handle and switch at the rear). The body is a coin-operated vintage gas metre salvaged from a demolition site in London. Neck – metal spring Side circle table is made from 2mm steel plate. Left arm – spanner Hand gun ‘ARO’ light is a repurposed air tool wrench used to remove wheel nuts. Lamp and switch with braided cable (PAT tested). Legs – ‘Donkey Ear’ aluminium binocular extenders used to look over trenches in World Wars I and II. Feet – 8 pairs of police issue ‘speed cuff’ hand cuffs. Frame- 10mm steel bar
Vulture
The Vulture measures Height 120cm / Width – 70cm / Depth 50cm . Inspired by the aircraft parts from which it’s made. – Head – Air tool wrench (to remove wheel nuts) – Beak – tree loppers – Neck plumage – circular saw blade. – Shoulders – RAF Vickers Varsity aeroplane pilot foot pedals and steering mechanism. (Clad with metal strapping) – Body – Luftwaffe Dornier – Oil Filter – Feathers – RAF – Canberra A1 engine jet fan blades – Legs – landing gear axles – Feet – Railway sleeper square head bolts. – Stand – saw mill blade. Finished in a silver powder coat paint.
